Going back to April...

Okay, sorry everyone! We've figured a work around so here is what's new with us since April. I'll split up the new blogs since there's lots to cover!!

In April, we spent an afternoon visiting a local manor house, Dyrham Manor, that has an annual tulip festival. The owners of the manor in the late 1700s were big fans of the Dutch and had much blue and white dutch ceramic and collected a huge garden-full of rare and colorful tulips. It was a beautiful day and the flowers were just stunning. Here are some pictures...

Yep - that's a peacock! It was a cool little trip to kick off the spring.

Also in April, we took a horseback riding trip to Wales. It was organized by the folks on base and we stopped in a small village for lunch before heading out to Brecon Beacon National Park for the horseback riding. We loved the views, but we have never been so sore in our lives. Kristine has vowed never to go horseback riding again. Here are some of the pictures...

So that was April, kind of low key, but a good way to start off the spring. Next up, May...
